Have you heard or read all those advertisements about Christmas presents and decorations? I have and it is getting annoying! Presents and the decorations, I mean last year they started to advertise at the end of November but there were even advertisements in the beginning of November. People are really serious about Christmas gifts than Christmas itself. Well, my brother and I give a list of what we would like to get (if at all we get it) and put a wreath and a Christmas tree up, but people get way to serious about it. Have we forgotten the real meaning of Christmas?

Santa here and Santa there! I mean really? I stopped believing in Santa when I was in grade 1 and here is why. We wrote a letter to Santa and a couple of weeks later I got my reply. It said that “Sorry Angela. I couldn’t get your present because Ms. Clause didn’t pack enough magic” That was just one sentence of the full letter. I really don’t care and I do have my reasons why I don’t believe in Santa. Like everyone else, a man can drive in his magical flying thing to every house in the whole wide world. He claimed to drop the presents down the chimney and they go directly to the Christmas tree.

Now how about for the houses with no chimney, how will Santa deliver? He can’t just walk in your house because I am sure most of our parents lock the doors. I don’t want to ruin your Christmas but those are just my thoughts. Anyway did you know that Costco started selling their Christmas trees in August? Wow, that early! August is the month for you to enjoy summer because you know that school is coming soon. Can you see that every year people get more and more excited about Christmas? Sooner or later people will start selling Christmas stuff in January!

I still love Christmas and there are many reasons why. For one the Christmas songs, I love to sing and I love Christmas songs! Like Silent Night or Jingle Bells, I love those songs. I love it when we do Christmas arts in school while the radio is on and we get to socialize with our friends. I also love the movies we watch and most of all… SNOW STORMS!!! On a day there is a snow storm, we will still go to school. Some students don’t but the best of all we have no work to do, so we stay in the gym and watch Christmas movies (or normal movies too).

All in all, I still love Christmas and I can’t wait for this Christmas coming up!
