ABOUT US

Tanzanian Canadian Association (TCA) is a not-for-profit organization that supports newcomers, advocates for community rights and interests, and fosters connections with other communities in Canada.

Vision

Our vision is to be a strong and vibrant community that preserves and promotes Tanzanian culture and heritage in Canada. We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for Tanzanians, provide them with the necessary resources and support for successful settlement and integration, and empower them to become active and engaged members of society. We also aim to foster connections and collaboration between the Tanzanian community and other communities, both within Canada and internationally, to promote cross-cultural understanding and mutual respect.

Objectives

The specific objectives of the Association include but are not limited to the following:

To promote and preserve Tanzanian culture and heritage within the Tanzanian community in Canada, through educational and cultural events, language classes, and other initiatives.

To provide referrals to various resources available for assistance with settlement, language learning, job search, and access to social services.

To foster connections and collaboration between the Tanzanian community in Canada and other communities, both within Canada and internationally, through networking events, partnerships with other organizations, and cultural exchange programs.

To advocate for the rights and interests of the Tanzanian community in Canada, including issues related to fostering economic and cultural exchange between Tanzania and Canada

To engage, support and empower the Tanzanian community in Canada, through education and training programs, mentorship opportunities, and referrals to various resources.
