This time I wanted to talk about something I love so much, it is beyond my words. Dancing. I learned to dance before I learned to walk. I love it because I can always be myself and it takes me away from my problems. I am happy, and every time I dance I turn into a better version of myself. “Dancers are the athletes of God”- Albert Einstein

First of all, what is dance? Well, “dance is a conversation between the body and the soul”- unknown. To make it easier, dance is a form of art of when you move your body to whatever the music is. I like playing a video game called Just Dance. It is a video game on Xbox, Wii, or PS3. You do not need a controller for it when using X Box. The point of the game is to try to follow the moves on the screen as perfect as possible. They award you with stars. You can battle your family and friends and I promise you it is super fun. I love this game because they have most recent songs, old loveable songs, and songs not a lot of people have heard of. I have the games Just Dance 3, 4, and Just Dance 2014 and I am hoping to get Just Dance 2015 for Christmas(please mommy and daddy!) The time to play this is during free time and when I am bored. This is the best video game ever because it gives you exercise and is fun!

I also take a dance class. I am doing hip hop. Many people have said I am a great dancer for a while but I just started lesson two months ago. This is an opportunity to make new friends, get new ideas of moves and techniques, and have a different dancing experience. I go to AB dance studio and I adore my teacher because she is a great dancer.

I am also part of an African dance group called TWAMSIFUELI. In this group I dance alongside some of my aunties, my friend, and my younger sister. I dance to African music and sometimes perform at concerts, churches, or senior houses. I love it and enjoy it because it is super fun. I have always wanted to perform for people on a stage. It also gives me a chance to explore my African culture more. Lastly, it brings a smile to people’s faces!!!

Overall, dance is something that would be hard to live without. I don’t know anyone who has never danced before. It as easy as 123, so don’t be ashamed to do so. It is also great because you can dance anywhere. I dance at parties, my room, school, the car, the shower (don’t judge me!), Pretty much anywhere I can hear music. I would rather give up my electronics (gasp) then give up dance. I will try to do it for as long as I live. Do you enjoy dancing, if you do where do you dance? Now you know my experience has a dancer so tell me yours! Keep moving! I LOVE DANCING!!
