The righteous are people who do what is right and they are in the right standing with God. They do not imitate what bad people do, they are honest and they keep their promises, and they trust and obey God. The ungodly are not in the right standing with God. They tell lies hurt and make fun of others, they do not obey God and they are boastful.
If you want to be great and prosperous, be righteous and let the wisdom of God, guide you. Righteous people are like trees along the river. They produce great fruit and their leaves never shrivel. The river represents God and trees need water to grow and produce fruit. If you have God, then you will grow spiritually and produce success. If you obey God, all things will go well for you. Ungodly people will not be like those strong trees. They will be like trash that ends up wherever.
The consequences of the ungodly are that they will not have a place with God (Heaven) and they will be in big trouble. They will be in distress and the Lord will get rid of them. They will be terrified and their path will lead to destruction and terror. Ungodly people give the devil a chance to operate in their health, career, business, and relationships with other people, and financial status. For example, Judas Iscariot, who was one of the 12 disciples of Jesus, betrayed Jesus by handing him over to the leading priests for thirty pieces of silver. Judas did a wicked deed and after Jesus was captured and arrested by the crowd of soldiers, he was tormented by a guilty conscience and knew that he betrayed an innocent man. He later hanged himself. Judas relationship with Jesus was terrorized and at the same time, he allowed the devil to operate in his mind to betray Jesus and to commit suicide by hanging himself.
God will take care of the righteous people and he will keep them safe from danger. They will live a long and prosperous life.
