At school I had to write a persuasive letter to Ms. Burdi (my teacher). It was about if my school should get an ice rink. A persuasive letter is a letter that convinces someone to do something. I am going to share my letter with you. Enjoy!
I hope you liked my letter. I worked really hard on this and got a Level Four (highest level).

Dear Ms. Burdi,
Everyone knows that its winter, right? We are running out of things to do at recess other than making snowmen, building forts and walking around. Its time we think about getting an ice rink here at St. Julia.
I know that not everyone knows how to skate but they can hold on to the ones that know how to skate or learn. Also if we get a skating rink then we could have a hockey team. Many boys like hockey and do hockey. We can have many sports with an ice rink. We can also have speed skating and figure skating.
There is no problem if it melts in the summer because then we could have a pool. Then we could have a swimming team and a synchronise swimming team. I hope you are convinced enough to build a skating rink.
From your excited student
Danica.
