It has been a very cold winter. I can’t tell you how much I can’t wait for it to end. What season will come next? You know it, it is SPRING!

Spring is the time when flowers grow and the animals come out. The sun is bright and we get to play all day. The cold snow is cleared away and everyone is actually happy to go outside. This winter has been very cold. The snow is fun to play on with your friends but when you live my life, walking to school is not fun when it is cold. Walking on snow, salted walkways will soon be over, and we will get to wear skirts and shorts. When winter is tired, spring will bump in.

Here are some things that I will look forward to in spring.

  • Longer Days – We will be losing one hour of sleep. In spring and summer the days are longer. We will get more time to play but we will have to go to sleep earlier.
  • Warmer Weather – In spring the weather is way warmer than winter. The sun will be out more and a lot of rain will come too. The rain will help the plants spring out.
  • Open Windows – We will be able to open up the windows and let the fresh air into our homes. We will get to see the sun and birds flying. Plants will be able to go on the window sill and get the nutrients it needs.
  • Shedding Layers – We will reduce the layers we had to wear. In the winter we had to wear leggings, long johns for the boys and sweaters. Now in spring you can shed them off and wear clothes which will fit in with the weather.
  • Let There Be Life! – Flowers and plants will come alive. With the display that will catch everyone’s eyes. The smell of beauty will fill the air and people will come to clap and stare. Plants will rise on the grass and make our land look greener and better than ever.
  • Sundresses – Women and girls will be able to wear their beautiful dresses and show them to the whole world to see. The styles will be unique and nice and everyone will stand to stare.
  • Outdoor Events/Sports – Soccer, track and field, tennis, handball and many more. These are all the sports I will be able to play when spring come. I will also be able to go outside to the park where I will play.
  • Barbecues – Fresh meat from the BBQ is what I am looking up for. The nice BBQed meat, corn and vegetable will for sure be the pleaser to all of us. I can’t wait for the meat to be on my plate and my stomach to be pleased.
  • Fruits – In the grocery stores a lot of fruits will come out such as… berries, mangos, melons, grapes and many more fruits! I am a true fruit lover.
  • Bright Colors –outside with the sun and all of the flowers the bright colors blast the world.

All in all, I can’t wait for spring to be here.
