Ten years ago, on August 11, a beautiful Africanadian baby girl was born in Toronto, Ontario. This baby girl is today a blogger writing blog stories like this one. Today, I am going to tell you a bit of my past ten years. I hope I will remember most of the things.

As we all know by now, the beloved actor/comedian Robin Williams was found dead in his home in Paradise Cay, near Tiburon, California. The sixty-three year old apparently had committed suicide by hanging on August 11, 2014, after suffering from numerous years of deep depression and drug and alcohol addiction during his career.

Every day I read a devotional book called “Our Daily Bread”. Recently I came across an African fable about why the thumb is not so close to the other fingers. According to this story, the thumb and the other fingers lived on one hand. They were the best of friends until one day; they found a ring and wanted to take it.

Today were going to talk about jealousy.

Rather we tolerate it or not. We have a new type of mentor in the world. It's media. Our new generation of kid's actions are now being influenced by media. Depending on the games they play and the shows they watch. Media is all around us with lots of messages. But do we really think that media is a good mentor?

Almost every single movie that I have ever watched is centered around good vs. evil. For instance: Home Alone, Superman, Harriet the Spy, and so many more. Books as well almost always have good vs. evil in a subject or characters. Titled: Divergent, Robin Hood, etc... Even the Holy Book, -the bible- does to.

In memory of Vanessa Yasintha Wambura (August 2003 – August 2023). Since I was born in Canada, Canada is considered my motherland. And since my parents were born in Africa (Tanzania!), to me Africa is my second motherland.

Summer is almost done, and September is around the corner. Wahoo! But why am I cheering? Of course, I missed one important thing, S-C-H-O-O-L. I have not been in a school for the past six weeks. I am not saying I am bored, but of course I am missing something!

Call 911!! The generation is being attacked by… SOCIAL MEDIA!! YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Email, Google +, Pinterest, Flickr, even Skype! You name it. Which ones do you have? Those are not even half of today`s social media websites.
